Nashville
Wed, Jan 17th I headed down to Nashville to meet up with Matthew Temple to play a few show, write a few songs, and jam with the locals.
Day 1, Matthew helped me finish a song that I have been working on and then later that night we ended up at Lyrix where we listen to several writers circles and then got up and played the open mic night.
Day 2, Matthew and I worked on 2 other songs that I have been working on and then later that night we ended up at the French Quarter Cafe for more writers nights and open mic that we played at.
Day 3, We met Michael West for coffee and had a wonderful afternoon chatting with him. Then Matthew and I checked out the local music stores and found some killer deals on cases and guitars. It’s a good thing I don’t live in Nashville, because I would send all my money on cool guitars. Later that night Michael, Freddy and Jay Freeman, and some other friends came over to the house and we jammed for 6 hours. It was awesome.
Day 4, Matthew and I went to the mall where they make Gibson guitars. After that we picked up Dean and we saw Happy Feet at the iMax. It had been a long 3 days and I went to bed early because I had an afternoon flight to catch and then get to work before 5pm on Sunday.
Day 5, Got up, packed my bags, had a wonderful breakfast, and then headed to the airport. Slept all the way home so I wouldn’t be tired for work that night.
After being there I finished all the songs for the CD and now I just have to sit down and start recording the new CD. I also have to pick a name and ask if John will make another cover for me.
